Founding Somos Publishing:
In the early spring of 2024, audiobook pioneer and publishing executive Mattias Lundgren reached out to Martin Marklund, a rising star in finance and technology, to discuss a bold new venture: a free-thinking, high-energy digital European publishing company. After tossing ideas together for a few months, the two came up with Somos Publishing. They decided on the Spanish market as their first, drawn by their love of Spain and the dynamic audio landscape in Spain and Latam.
They completed the team with the addition of long-time literary agent Joakim Hansson as co-owner and advisor.
The team has worked with hundreds, if not thousands, of authors over the years.
They have made many unknowns famous and created great value for the authors, the companies, and a long chain of people working in and around the company.
